He Gave An Impromptu Performance Of A Zeppelin Classic
We’ve just about run out of superlatives to describe Jimmy Page.
Easily our favorite guitarist of all time at Shred the Strings, his long and illustrious career and consistency has solidified his legacy as one of the G.O.A.T.’s (greatest of all time).
Jimmy was honored on Thursday, 11-19-15 at the EMP Museum Founders Awards benefit show. The award show included members of Nirvana, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains.
After winning the award, Jimmy took the stage and greeted many of the performing musicians and then, in an unplanned twist, picked up a guitar and played the Led Zeppelin smash hit “Rock and Roll.”
This was most certainly a night to remember, and we’re jealous of anyone who was in attendance.
We were able to track down video, but as a warning the quality isn’t the greatest. However, you’ll get the idea.
Jimmy comes up on stage at about the 3 minute mark.
